At Ross Guitars, we are committed to providing top-quality services to musicians of all levels. We offer a wide range of services, from basic setups to intricate repairs and modifications.
Whether you need a simple adjustment to your instrument's intonation or a complete overhaul of your guitar's electronics, we've got you covered. We use only the highest quality parts and tools to ensure that your guitar plays and sounds its best.
Setups
I inspect and clean the entire instrument, clean and condition the fretboard, polish the frets, cut and lubricate the nut slots, restring, adjust the truss rod, set the action, intonate the bridge, adjust pickup heights, check and clean all electronics, and give it a final polish. These are just the highlights of a 20 point checklist.
Electronics
Replace/upgrade existing pickups. Replace potentiometers, switches, jacks, etc… with high-quality components. Re-wire - replace and upgrade existing wiring scheme. Install acoustic pickup and electronics. RFI Shielding - reduces or eliminates noise from radio and elecromagnetic interference.
Fretwork
Level, crown, and dress frets. Refret.
Other Services
Custom cut pickguard/cavity cover with almost any material. Hand-made custom bone nut or saddle. Upgrade to Graphtech Tusq nut. Repacement bolt-on necks. Replace/upgrade tuning machines. Replace/upgrade bridge. Fix stripped strap buttons. Repair broken headstocks. Pretty much anything other than finish work. Contact me for a quote
instrument evaluations
I’ll check the entire instrument top-to-bottom. Frets, hardware, electronics, etc… and report the findings with recommendations on how to make it play and sound its best.
String changes
I’ll change the strings, whilst demonstrating how to properly do it yourself.
